EV Guide desk assessment, not a first-hand road test. This entry covers the current Portuguese evolution Comfort Range with the 52 kWh battery and 110 kW motor, updated for model year 2027, not the cheaper 37 or 40 kWh versions. Renault Portugal supplies the local price, 430 km WLTP maximum, charging time, length and boot volume; Renault's European announcement confirms the efficiency update. Carwow praises its styling, city agility, cabin and driving character but finds the rear seats cramped and motorway refinement limited. Top Gear similarly values the fun, strong-value package while criticising rear space. UK prices and grants do not apply in Portugal. EV Guide imports no external score.

Renault 5 range gains efficiency, 430 km WLTP and a new LFP entry model
Renault has opened European orders for the updated range. Aerodynamic and technical changes lift the 52 kWh Comfort Range to 430 km WLTP and the 40 kWh Urban Range to 315 km. A new Five version combines a 36.5 kWh LFP battery, 80 kW motor and DC charging for up to 305 km; colours, trim and onboard technology also change by version. Portuguese prices and availability should be confirmed locally.
